Sold on the space and character
A Beulah Park home is re-wired and reroofed, writes Tom Dougherty.
ABEULAH RD property was so ideal for vendor Alex Spinelli he walked in and bought it on the spot just over twenty years ago. ‘‘I actually liked the look of the house, I saw it was coming up for auction and I just walked in and bought it, it just felt really good,’’ he says.
‘‘I just walked in and the price was right.’’
Built circa 1890, the character villa has three bedrooms.
The master is at the front and it features a fireplace and an airconditioning unit.
‘‘All the bedrooms have queen sized beds,’’ Mr Spinelli says.
In the middle of the home is a loungeroom which has a fireplace and polished timber floors.
‘‘Over the years I had the place re-wired, re-plumbed, reroofed, insulation put in and had all the floors sanded,’’ he says.
‘‘The back area with the kitchen and bathroom was all redone when I bought it and it still looks great.’’
At the back of the home is an open-plan kitchen, family and meals area. The kitchen features a breakfast bar and stainlesssteel appliances.
‘‘It was designed for myself and two children and it worked brilliantly for me,’’ he says.
‘‘The kitchen faces on to the back courtyard area, which is undercover, so a lot of the time I just cook outside on the barbecue when the weather was right.’’
Accessible from the family room is a covered pergola area at the back. The bathroom is adjacent the kitchen, and it has a bath and a separate shower.
The property also has a laundry and a carport with an automatic door.
‘‘It has plenty of room and is close to all the amenities and you can walk to The Parade,’’ he says.
