UNDER THE HAMMER
Teenagers will love the roof-space retreat, writes Tom Dougherty.
ATUDOR-STYLE home was in a great location for vendor Brian Turner, who then upgraded almost everything in the property over the next few years. ‘‘We liked the Tudor, as well as the location, it’s a quiet little neighbourhood,’’ he says. ‘‘We put in the new laundry, kitchen, a lot of the rooms have been upgraded and we put in the pool and everything in the garden.’’
The property has four bedrooms, with the master featuring a walk-in robe and an ensuite with a double vanity and a shower. ‘‘It is a really big area, it’s a lovely space,’’ he says. ‘‘They are all good-sized rooms.’’ The three other bedrooms all have built-in robes, and one has a retreat attached.
The bedrooms are serviced by a bathroom, which has a spa bath and a shower.
At the front of the home is a loungeroom, that features a fireplace and a window which overlooks the front yard.
At one end of the home is a kitchen that overlooks a formal dining room and both areas have polished timber floors.
The kitchen features white cupboards, a double oven, stone benches and Miele appliances.
At the side of the property is a paved entertaining area that overlooks a glass-surrounded inground pool.
There is also a vegie garden and a shed in the backyard.
There is also a laundry with a third toilet, and a ladder leads up to a teenager’s retreat in the roof space.
‘‘There are endless opportunities for what you can do upstairs,’’ he says.
‘‘You could build four extra bedrooms up there, there are such provisions to extend.’’
He says the location and facilities makes it an ideal family home.
‘‘It is a family house, we have the dog, the vegie patch, the kids can ride their bikes around the streets, it is a nice community area,’’ Mr Turner says.
