TOO MANY ABORTIONS

The Advertiser - SA Weekend - - UP FRONT -

Rex Jory’s article on Robin Millhouse (Matters for Judgment, Aug 16-17) was unexpected and revealing. Many might admire and appreciate his current reversal of thinking about the abortion legislation for which he was largely responsible years ago.

However, it is really a matter of “the horse has bolted”. Whether people’s leanings are proabortion or pro-life surely none can be pleased that the number of abortions in Australia has been around 90-100,000 a year.

[No national statistics are available, but state figures suggest at least 73-83,000 a year - Ed] Irwin Traeger Payneham
