SAWeekend (Nov 7-8) and today’s Advertiser (Nov 10) have featured nominations and awards for food.
A glaring omission is a category for vegetarian restaurants. As more evidence points to a meat-dominant diet being a health risk, surely more credence should be given to vegetarian food.
Chefs such as Jamie Oliver have suggested going meat-free several days a week. How about including vegetarian and vegan food venue awards and all restaurants stepping up on menu options?
Jenny Esots Willunga I agree with Kathy Lette. I breastfed my two boys 40 years ago when and where they needed it in Alice Springs. No one blinked an eye.
Adelaide was more stitched up but I did it discreetly so didn’t have too much bother. I would hope people were more enlightened these days.
G Haskett Moana Breast is best and women must to be able to feed their babies when and where they need to. It is offensive that some people still want it done behind closed doors.
