The Track starts just north of Mar­ree. Roads are un­sealed. Nor­mal cars do drive the Track, but high clear­ance or 4WD ve­hi­cles are ad­vis­able if stray­ing far off the main Track, with 4WD nec­es­sary north of Ood­na­datta. There is ac­com­mo­da­tion at Wil­liam Creek, Ood­na­datta and Mt Dare, and camp­ing at Cow­ard Springs, Wil­liam Creek, Ood­na­datta,

Hamil­ton Sta­tion, Mt Dare and Dal­housie Springs, with some fa­cil­i­ties. Only des­ig­nated

camp­sites can be used in Na­tional Parks.

Ask for ad­vice on Out­back roads from the

RAA. There are many po­ten­tial dan­gers.
