AFTER read­ing of the re­port from con­sult­ing firm Deloitte re­gard­ing what Ade­laide should look like in the fu­ture, I can only won­der at the cost was for such a sim­plis­tic and in­deed con­tra­dic­tory re­port.

For a start, there is no way res­i­dents of the af­flu­ent sub­urbs would put up with the noise and dis­rup­tion that any em­ploy­ment-cre­at­ing ven­ture would en­tail. One only has to look at re­cent re­ac­tions to things as sim­ple as live mu­sic venues to un­der­stand this.
