McLachlan will be taking on a new role tomorrow night, as co-host of AFL 360.

The Adelaide-born AFL CEO is joining Gerard Whateley at the desk of the Fox Footy show in place of Mark Robinson.

“Consistently Gillon has been our most outstanding guest,” Gerard says.

“(He’s) always ready to give plenty of cheek while discussing the serious issues in and around the game. The seat suits him so well the progression to co-host seems obvious.

“Besides, it’s good to give a young fella a chance in TV every now and then.“

Gillon, pictured below with wife Laura, will set the footy agenda and interview regular guests, footballers Jordan Lewis and Jack Riewoldt.

Maybe he can ask little brother, and Seven sports reporter,p , Hamish,, for tips.p
