IT’S on yer bike, desk-to-dinner dressing.

Yes, cycling-to-cocktails clothing is the new fashion for the girl about town as she’s getting where she’s going on two wheels.

A mix of practical and stylish, the “sport luxe” trend – think a body-con dress with metallic sneakers or a designer tracksuit with high heels – is perfect for Santos Tour Down Under fans.

And this is especially true if you’re heading straight from all the action of Stage 1 to the Unley Gourmet Gala.

The annual street party on King William Rd, Hyde Park, is being held tomorrow from 5pm to 10pm.

More than 20,000 people are expected to attend the family-friendly event.

It will include three fashion parades, on the hour from 6pm, showcasing garments from local designers and retailers including Tiff Manuell, Paige Rowe, WildChild Stylelab, Denim & Cloth, Willywags, CaVa and The Ark. Among the Autumn outfits on show will be sport luxe looks like the one from WildChild Stylelab worn by Megan Lampre (pictured).

With functional flats and drop-crotch pants, which are not only on-trend but comfortable, her ensemble can be worn when bicycling to the bar, with an optional change into high heels.

Wild Child Stylelab’s Nicki Carapella said sport luxe was “forever evolving”.

“It’s not just mixing sports brands with fashion pieces ... it’s about mixing effortless simplicity, comfort and luxury,” she said. “The best part of this look is that’s it’s ageless.”
