Bucket heads

The Advertiser - - LETTERS -

IT is sad to see that people are taking up the offer of free bucket “hats” that KFC gives out before the Big Bash cricket events at Adelaide Oval.

We are living in an ever-increasing world full of rubbish and as a sales gimmick people are happy to partake of free advertising for KFC.

They are discarded after the cricket and either become rubbish in the surrounding area or are sent to landfill.

Please refuse to take one and explain to your children why, including the tons of millions of rubbish in our oceans. ANDREA CRESSWELL,

Brighton. find a change facility. I was forced to stand on the footpath with a towel wrapped around me to change into my bathers while pedestrians and motorists went past me.

Then after a lovely swim I searched for a shower facility and eventually found a very public stand pipe at the start of the jetty.

After showering I was again confronted with the reverse prospect of discarding the wet bathers and getting dressed in public. This would indeed be a great beach if appropriate facilities were provided. DAVID SHERWEN,
