SA jobless rate third best in nation
SOUTH Australia’s unemployment rate has dropped to 5.6 per cent – the third lowest in the nation.
The state’s seasonally ad- justed jobless rate, recorded in the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ May data, fell by 0.3 per cent.
It was the equal biggest reduction of any state or territory.
SA now trails only Victoria (5.1 per cent) and NSW (4.9 per cent) but is marginally above the national rate, which sits at 5.4 per cent for the fifth consecutive month.
