ON SATURDAY morning at Torrens Parade Ground, His Excellency the Governor addressed the guests at the Chinese Welfare Services of South Australia’s annual general meeting and Moon Lantern Festival celebration.
Afterwards the Governor placed a wreath at the Battle of Britain commemoration service hosted by the Royal Australian Air Force.
In the afternoon at Keyneton, the Governor addressed the guests at the Henschke Wines 150 Years of Family Winemaking event. On Sunday morning the Governor and Mrs Le departed for a regional visit to Loxton.
In the afternoon at the Loxton RSL Hall and Bowls Club, the Governor, ac- companied by Mrs Le, unveiled a plaque and officially opened the Loxton RSL and Districts Memorial Room, and later at Bookpurnong, the Governor and Mrs Le met with members of the Pilgrims of Zion Church. In the evening at Loxton Hotel, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted His Worship the Mayor of the District Council of Loxton Waikerie, Mr Leon Stasinowsky and Mrs Lynette Stasinowsky; Mr Robert Manual, president, Loxton Returned and Services League SubBranch and Mrs Aileen Manuel; and Mr Ken Schwarz and Mrs Daphne Schwarz.
The Governor has appointed Professor Brenda Wilson to be Governor’s Deputy from Sunday, September 16 until Monday, September 17.
