Dan­nii, the mum, goes on record

Minogue’s work­ing on new songs, but can’t fully com­mit to mu­sic like she used to due to her role as a mum to son Ethan, 8.

That said, she ap­pre­ci­ates the love for her 2003 Neon Nights al­bum, which went back to the top of the Bri­tish charts af­ter be­ing re-re­leased on vinyl ear­lier this year.

Its hits in­cluded Put The Nee­dle On It and Who Do You Love Now. “I got to en­joy that al­bum all over again,” Dan­nii, pic­tured, says. “But when the fans said I should do an­other one, I was like, ‘You don’t un­der­stand. Neon Nights was me work­ing for a year – with­out a child’.

“I flew all over the world to write and record songs. I was in a cer­tain mode, go­ing to sleep think­ing about what I want to write, and wak­ing up think­ing about the same thing.

“My days now are think­ing about my son. I go to work and I come back to him.”
