Cop this – a police open day
ELLENBROOK police station will open its doors to the public this weekend to engage with the community.
Police will be mingling with the public, holding police dog demonstrations and have police vehicles and the police pipe band on show.
Officer-in-charge Wal Brierly said the open day was a good opportunity for locals to meet the police who were helping the community.
“People can meet the police, see the custody holding area and have their photo taken in a police car,” he said.
“The open day is a chance for police to engage with the local community and give them a chance to get to know their local officers who are helping keep Ellenbrook safe.”
The event will also include face painting, sausage sizzle and a coffee cart.
Ellenbrook police station will be open from 10am to 2pm on Sunday, April 30.
