Bright footy future ahead

The Advocate (Perth) - - NEWS -

THREE young footballers are already making their mark and setting their sights on an AFL career.

Year 5 players Jesse King, Oscar Barry and Diesel King from Aveley Football Club celebrated their 50th game of football last week and show no sign of slowing down.

Coach Jeff Barry said it was a huge achievement for the 10-year-olds to make 50 games.

“These players haven’t missed one training session or game in three years, which for players at this age is impressive,” he said.

The players celebrated their milestone game with a special banner they ran through at the start of the game and a celebration that coincided with the end of season.

“They were very excited and it was nice to have something to acknowledge their achievements,” he said.

Barry said he saw a bright future for the footy players.

“Without a doubt they could have a career in football,” he said.

“They are the three best players at the club – they are very talented.”
