Family fun at opening

The Advocate (Perth) - - NEWS -

THE City of Swan has officially opened the Ethel Warren Bullsbrook Community Centre, with a family fun day.

Hundreds of people turned out over the weekend to celebrate the opening, with live music, food trucks and free kids activities.

Mayor Mick Wainwright said he was pleased to see so many families at the event, including Ethel Warren and her family.

“It was such an honour to have Ethel and her family at the event, enjoying the centre and spending time with others in the community,” he said.

“Ethel has made such a big contribution to the local area and the cultural vibrancy of the Bullsbrook community, so we only hope this centre can continue her fine work.”

The new centre includes a brand-new library, the Bullseye Youth Centre and the City’s Rural Place Office.

Councillor Kevin Bailey said he was proud of the facility.

“It has been fantastic to see the facility enjoyed by so many people, including Ethel and her family.”
