A magical experience
SLOW-COOKED MEAL USING GRAPEVINE CHARCOAL
Antonio Battistessa and chef Vincenzo Velletri will host Alchemy and the Magic of Charcoal on Sunday. BATTISTESSA Studio will hold Alchemy and the Magic of Charcoal as part of Entwined in the Valley this weekend.
The event will showcase Swan Valley wine, food, art and music, with food cooked by local chef Vincenzo Velletri using grapevine charcoal from the region.
Battistessa Studio owner and artist Antonio Battistessa said the event was about people coming together and enjoying the region and the produce on offer.
He said the food would be slow-cooked using charcoal from local grapevines, which created a stunning mix of flavours.
“The valley is a beautiful place and full of magic,” he said.
“There’s nothing better than having a good day with people you love and meeting new people, while enjoying some of the best food and wine the region has to offer.”
Battistessa will open up his studio for guests to look through, with a live forging display from blacksmith artists, as well as local entertainment.
Alchemy and the Magic of Charcoal will kick off from 4.30pm on Sunday. Tickets are $75 from www.entwinedinthevalley.com.au
