Thinking Green workshops
THE City of Swan is hosting a series of Thinking Green workshops to encourage community members to become more sustainable and kinder to the environment.
The workshops will run at the City’s public libraries between January and June at Bullsbrook, Midland, Altone, Ballajura, Ellenbrook, Guildford – as well as some classes in Woodbridge, Gidgegannup and Caversham.
The workshops range from keeping backyard chickens, decluttering, sustainable house design, water wise irrigation, to frogfriendly gardens, worm farming and home composting.
Deputy Mayor Kevin Bailey said he hoped the workshops would inspire people to care for the environment and improve their wellbeing.
“The City of Swan is committed to being a sustainable organisation and we encourage our residents to ‘think green’ and live a more environmentally friendly lifestyle where possible,” he said.
