Lot­tery pun­ters cel­e­brate Me­gadraw wins

Fred Geb and Sa­mara Lance from For­rest­field Mar­ket­place News, which sold a Divi­sion One win­ning Lotto ticket. AN Ave­ley woman is cel­e­brat­ing her big Lotto jack­pot.

The woman in her 40s, who bought the Me­gadraw ticket from Nex­tra Ex­press Ellenbrook, picked up $1.4 mil­lion.

There were four other mil­lion­dol­lar win­ners, lead­ing a For­rest­field newsagent to de­clare the luck was with his cus­tomers.

A Wun­dowie FIFO worker bought his win­ning Lotto ticket from Fred Geb’s For­rest­field Mar­ket­place News.

“I also sold a divi­sion 2 win­ner on the same evening to a dif­fer­ent per­son worth $10,194,” owner Fred Geb said.

“The luck’s in For­rest­field. That was my 14th ma­jor prize win since I’ve been there.”

The Wun­dowie Me­gadraw win­ner plans to hang up his hi-vis.

“I nearly choked on my can of JD and Coke when I found out,” he said.

“This win means more time with my wife and kids after re­ally strug­gling to be away from them.

“FIFO just about nailed me – it was a choice be­tween my health and the money.”

Other win­ners in­cluded a Wil­let­ton fam­ily, a mid­dle-aged cou­ple from Hil­larys and two life­long friends from Guild­ford.
