SALES RISE 47 PER CENT

IN the four weeks to May 7, there were 72 lo­cal prop­erty sales across houses, units and land, which is an in­crease of 11 per cent over the four-week pe­riod.

Com­pared to the same time last year, sales are higher by 47 per cent.

The overall Perth mar­ket sales in­creased to 2286, a rise of 10 per cent over the four­week pe­riod and re­mains 12 per cent higher than the same time last year.

El­len­brook tops the list for the high­est num­ber of sales at 18.

Prop­er­ties avail­able for sale in the lo­cal area have in­creased by 2 per cent over the last four weeks but is 9 per cent lower than the same time last year.

To­tal list­ings in the Perth metro re­gion have in­creased by 1 per cent but is 1 per cent lower than the same time last year.

The av­er­age time to sell in the lo­cal area has de­creased by five days to 78 days for the three months to April 2018.

The av­er­age time to sell in the Perth metro re­gion has de­creased by four days to 67.

REIWA mem­bers re­ported 103 to­tal prop­er­ties (houses and units) leased for the four-week pe­riod, a de­crease of 25 per cent over the last four weeks but is 14 per cent higher than the same time last year.

List­ings in the Ad­vo­cate area have fallen by 8 per cent in the four-week pe­riod and are 20 per cent lower than the same time last year.

The overall mar­ket has seen list­ings re­main sta­ble over the four-week pe­riod and are 21 per cent lower than the same time last year.

The overall me­dian weekly rent for the lo­cal area for the three months to April 2018 is $340/week, which is un­changed from the three months to April 2017.

Sim­i­larly, the overall me­dian rent for Perth has seen no change in the three months to April 2018.

Av­er­age time to rent in the lo­cal area has de­creased to 48 days in the three months to April 2018.
