Bullsbrook community kindy

The Advocate (Perth) - - FRONT PAGE -

PARENTS with children turning four before June 30 have been reminded to enrol their children in kindergarten.

Swan Hills MLA Jessica Shaw said children needed to be enrolled before July 20.

“Bullsbrook and Mt Helena both have community kindergartens,” she said.

“They are locally run, have fantastic facilities and offer supportive, nurturing environments to assist kids gradually make the transition to school.

“I know a number of parents don’t feel comfortable sending their child to kindy at bigger schools. Community kindergartens provide a great alternative and focus on play-based learning in a safe environment.”

Ms Shaw said many parents were not aware of the cut-off dates.

“Insufficient enrolments may mean that our local community kindies cannot run next year,” she said.
