Winemakers set to retire
WINEMAKERS Brian and Heather Hunt from Entopia Wines will retire and sell their Swan Valley vineyard after 20 years in the region.
The Hunts, who are now in their mid-70s, bought the property in Baskerville in 1998 and turned it from a run-down horse property with no vines and lots of weeds into a boutique winery which produces around 15 tonnes of grapes at vintage.
The winery will continue to operate its cellar door on weekends until the end of August, with wine discounted to clear supply.
They said the decision had not been made lightly and were deeply grateful for all who visited the winery and were part of making it so successful.
