World at her feet

Bulls­brook res­i­dent Georgia Dew­stowSmith (17) will com­pete in the Miss World Aus­tralia na­tional fi­nals in Au­gust.

SWAN Christian Col­lege stu­dent and Bulls­brook res­i­dent Georgia Dew­stow-Smith will com­pete in the Miss World Aus­tralia com­pe­ti­tion in Au­gust.

The 17-year-old has been danc­ing and modelling from a young age and is with Chad­wick Mod­els. She won the Miss World WA State fi­nals in May.

Georgia said she was ex­cited to take part in the na­tional com­pe­ti­tion.

“My mum had come across it (Miss World) and asked me if I’d be in­ter­ested and it all started from there,” she said.

“I love the idea and I’m so happy I went through with it. So far it has been such an amaz­ing ex­pe­ri­ence and I wouldn’t change a thing.

“I am feel­ing very ner­vous about tak­ing part in the na­tional com­pe­ti­tion. How­ever I‘m ex­cited to per­form and go through with this new ex­pe­ri­ence with some amaz­ing girls.”

She said win­ning Miss World Aus­tralia would be a dream and help her in achiev­ing her ca­reer in modelling.

“Win­ning Miss World Aus­tralia would be an ab­so­lute dream and it would mean the world to me as it’s an amaz­ing achieve­ment,” she said.

“With this plat­form it would give me many op­por­tu­ni­ties and open a va­ri­ety of paths for my fu­ture.

“My goal is to be­come a Vic­to­ria’s Se­cret model. How­ever I would also love to even­tu­ally ap­ply to univer­sity to study sport science and work as a per­sonal trainer.”

Georgia is try­ing to raise $5000 for the Char­lie Teo Foun­da­tion as part of the com­pe­ti­tion.
