Strong response sought
APPLICATIONS are open for the fourth round of the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities program.
Grants range between $2500 and $20,000 and previous recipients have included Quinns District Netball Club, which received funding for netball equipment.
Pearce MHR Christian Porter said other successful applications in previous rounds included Swan Athletic Sporting Club for carpark upgrades, Parkland Villas in Ellenbrook for IT upgrades and Avon Valley Arts Society for exhibition lighting.
Mr Porter said organisations could lodge expressions of interest for their projects via www.christianporter.com.au until August 31.
“I will be working closely again with a community consultative committee,” Mr Porter said.
“We are especially keen on projects that improve community involvement and contribute to creating vibrant and viable communities.”
