Good turnout for De­scent Fes­ti­val

MORE than 5000 peo­ple turned out to Lilac Hill Park in Caver­sham to cel­e­brate the Avon De­scent Fes­ti­val. City of Swan Mayor David Lu­cas said it was fan­tas­tic to see a huge turnout de­spite the con­di­tions on the day. “The event had won­der­ful com­mu­nity at­mos­phere, with peo­ple cheer­ing on the com­peti­tors from the river’s edge.”
