Fo­rum to hear safety con­cerns

EL­LEN­BROOK res­i­dents will get the chance to raise their con­cerns about safety in the com­mu­nity at a fo­rum next month.

Swan Hills MLA Jes­sica Shaw will hold a com­mu­nity safety fo­rum with Po­lice Min­is­ter Michelle Roberts.

Ms Shaw said lo­cal po­lice would also be at the fo­rum.

“This is a great op­por­tu­nity to dis­cuss our com­mu­nity’s safety with WA Po­lice and Min­is­ter Roberts,” she said.

“El­len­brook lo­cals of­ten raise their con­cerns about drugs, do­mes­tic vi­o­lence, speed­ing and other crime.

“We lis­tened to the El­len­brook com­mu­nity dur­ing the elec­tion and opened the El­len­brook po­lice sta­tion 24-7.

“This fo­rum is a chance to hear di­rectly from the Min­is­ter on ad­di­tional im­prove­ments that the govern­ment is mak­ing to keep our com­mu­nity safe.”

The fo­rum will be held at the El­len­brook District Open Space on Septem­ber 4 from 6.30pm.
