Jemena to fast track Galilee Basin pipeline

The Australian Energy Review - - NEWS -

JEMENA has signed an agreement with Galilee Energy to develop plans to deliver gas from Galilee’s Glenaras gas project in Central QLD.

Jemena will fast-track the construction of a new pipeline to deliver gas produced by Galilee to the east coast to ease supply concerns in the region.

Jemena corporate development general manager Antoon Boey said that to overcome supply concerns large new sources of gas were needed to be produced and delivered to the market as quickly as possible.

“By undertaking the early planning works, both Jemena and Galilee Energy will be ready to proceed to front end engineering and design (FEED) on both pipeline and field development in 2019 with the objective of first gas to market in 2022,” Mr Boey said.
