The Australian Oil & Gas Review
Biofuel tech enters Australian market
A MOBILE biomass-to-bioenergy plant is now available in Australia that can generate bioenergy within seconds, and potentially enable agribusinesses to become completely independent of the grid.
Developed by Netherlands renewable energy technology manufacturer Nettenergy BV and distributed by Pyrotech Energy, the Mobile Pyrolysis Plant (MPP) uses fast pyrolysis technology – high-temperature, low-oxygen treatment of woody waste – to generate biofuels and biochemicals and electricity.
When connected to the grid, the technology can supply agribusiness operations with 50-250kw of electricity per hour, depending on the project and the application.
