The new Qantas Los Angeles Business Lounge opens this month, replacing the cramped lounge it owns jointly with Cathay Pacific and British Airways. A new firstclass lounge is also promised by year’s end. Like its stylish siblings in Singapore and Hong Kong, the new LAX lounge draws on its location, focusing on LA street food that embraces Mexican, Korean and Italian, along with influences from consulting chef Neil Perry’s Rockpool restaurant. The new lounge has a circular internal fireplace to socialise around. With nearly 600 seats, it is more than twice the size of the previous facility and is the biggest lounge in LA’s revamped Tom Bradley International Terminal.
