Martin Grant, the Melbourne-born, Paris-based fashion designer known for his elegant silhouettes, gave Qantas cabin crew their new look in 2013 and its pilots their recently launched uniform. Now he has turned his flair to sleepwear for International First passengers: navy with black trim, the PJs are all cotton with a tailored neckline and tapered shape, for a rare combination of comfort and style. Grant says: “Material breathability, flattering colours and tapered lines were top of mind when coming up with the design, as well as ensuring the pyjama bottoms don’t crawl up the leg and a non-restrictive neckline … Qantas pyjamas are iconic so it was also about a contemporary design that customers will want to tuck in to their carry-on bag.” He has also designed matching slippers, socks, eye masks and amenity kits.
