PRINCES and GODS

-

Prince Charles made a one-day dash to Vanuatu, met Chief Sine Mao Tirsupe and received a chiefly title in a traditional ceremony that included the royal donning a grass skirt and supping Royal Kava, a drink reserved for special occasions which was only last consumed during a visit by The Duke of Edinburgh in 1974. Prince Charles’ father is held in unique regard on Vanuatu. The island’s Prince Philip Movement believes the Duke is descended from a spirit ancestor and see him almost as a God (inset).
