House of love
THE CHILDREN’S CANCER INSTITUTE, which is used to accomplishing miracles, has built an entire house from donated materials and labour in 19 days. It will be auctioned on October 21 to raise funds for childhood cancer research. “I’m hoping the money raised will help develop more targeted and kinder treatments for kids,” says Brodie, whose son Nixon, three, was diagnosed with a rare cancer at birth. Fighting t now, Nixon has been unof cial foreman on the site, where his builder dad, Nick, volunteered. To learn more, visit buildforacure.org.au.
Every inch of the house was generously donated – including the land, all materials, labour and furnishings.
