About the author
US author Curtis Sittenfeld was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the second of four children to a librarian mum and investment adviser dad. “I always loved to read and write. From a young age, I saw books, magazines and newspapers as containing all sorts of juicy information about life,” she tells The Weekly. Curtis’ first novel, Prep, published in 2005, received critical acclaim, with its heroine compared to Elizabeth Bennet from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. But it was American Wife, a novel based on the life of first lady Laura Bush, that established Curtis as a leading writer. Rodham is her sixth novel and despite being a huge Hillary fan, she has never met her “except in my dreams (literally while I’m asleep)!”
