Ibrahim brothers back home
Two brothers of Sydney nightclub identity John Ibrahim have reportedly arrived in Australia after being extradited from Dubai over their alleged roles in an international drugsmuggling conspiracy.
Michael and Fadi Ibrahim arrived in Sydney yesterday.
They were arrested in Dubai early last month as Australian Federal Police and NSW officers conducted a series of raids across Sydney. The brothers are expected to face Sydney’s Central Local Court today.
Police allege they were part of a syndicate that had plans to import two tonnes of illicit drugs into Australia. The haul, which included 1.8 tonnes of MDMA and was estimated to be worth $810 million, was seized by authorities in The Netherlands in July.
