Laudable US policy

The Australian - - COMMENTARY -

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has declared that it is the aim of the US to rid the Korean peninsula of nuclear weapons. This is a laudable aim from which no sensible person could dissent. However, he did not also declare it a primary aim of US foreign policy to rid the more dangerous area of the Middle East of its nuclear chemical and biological weapons.

It would be an equally if not considerably more laudable aim because the Middle East is an area that presents a much greater danger to world peace and stability. Barry Fox, South Melbourne, Vic
