a) pro­tects those who be­lieve in tra­di­tional mar­riage against un­favourable treat­ment in terms of their em­ploy­ment, ed­u­ca­tion and the sup­ply of goods or ser­vices b) en­sures gov­ern­ments can­not with­draw fund­ing from groups be­cause they be­lieve in tra­di­tional mar­riage c) en­sures faith-based char­i­ties can­not lose their char­i­ta­ble sta­tus as a re­sult of changes to the Mar­riage Act d) in­tro­duces a ‘safe schools’ clause to pre­serve the right of par­ents to en­sure the re­li­gious and moral ed­u­ca­tion of their chil­dren is in line with their own con­vic­tions
