I grew up in Cairns and moved down to Brisbane to study engineering. I have been back up here for about a week. I completed high school at Trinity Anglican School. When it comes to sport I always liked playing basketball — for the enjoyment and camaraderie. I started supporting the Cairns Taipans in about 2008. I also played AFL and now I play a fair bit of golf at the Cairns Golf Club. My favourite beach is Palm Cove because you can grab a feed and just go down to the beach. The night-life up here is different to Brisbane. It is very ‘backpackery’ and a lot more laid back. In Brisbane it is more about putting on a suit and tie to go out. I like it heaps better up here.
