In­truder alarm­ing for roy­als

SE­CU­RITY is be­ing re­viewed at Prince Ge­orge’s pri­mary school in Lon­don af­ter a 40year-old woman was ar­rested on sus­pi­cion of at­tempted bur­glary.

The four-year-old son of Prince Wil­liam and Kate Mid­dle­ton started last week at Thomas’s Bat­tersea, a pri­vate school in south­west Lon­don, with his first day re­ceiv­ing wide me­dia cov­er­age in Bri­tain and be­yond.

Prince Ge­orge is un­der­stood not to have been at the school at the time of the in­ci­dent on Tues­day. The woman was ar­rested on Wed­nes­day.

“We are work­ing with the school, which is at­tended by His Royal High­ness Prince Ge­orge, to re­view its se­cu­rity ar­range­ments af­ter the in­ci­dent,” a po­lice spokesman said.

“Po­lice were alerted and of­fi­cers at­tended im­me­di­ately af­ter the is­sue came to light.

“Po­lice are part of the pro­tec­tive se­cu­rity ar­range­ments for the prince and we will con­tinue to work closely with the school, which is re­spon­si­ble for build­ing se­cu­rity on its site.”
