On other matters

The Cairns Post - - VIEWS -

How many politicians and councillors know our constitution, but most importantly follow it? LB-G, Bungalow I want to know where is the outrage and the protests when an Australian woman was shot by a policeman in the US. Shane, Kanimbla A big ugly concrete jungle at the gateway of our city. You’ve got to be kidding Curtis. Maybe if you had run the state’s economy a bit better you wouldn’t have to penny pinch off farmers to make it look like you’ve done something in the lead up to an election. Robbo, Gordonvale I feel that instead of wasting money on Florence St, the CRC would be better to beautify Shield St between Sheridan and McLeod streets, surely the ugliest part of Cairns. Also, some public toilets would not go astray in the CBD. Last Thursday I had to go to the Cairns Art Gallery to use the toilet. It was the only one I could find in Abbott and Lake streets. Carol, Cairns Cairns and North Queensland misses out and SE Queensland gets everything. A few examples: (1) SE Queensland is about to host the Commonwealth Games. (2) SE Queensland will now host the Logies. (3) An overseas company is now doing a feasibility study on the Olympic Games for SE Queensland. (4) Both the ALP and LNP refuse to fund things here in FNQ. David the cabbie, Woree
