CAIRNS- based Mark Dodge Motoring – owned by Mark and Sharon Dodge – has won the Motor Trades Association of Queensland 2017 Community Award.

The MTA said the Cairns company was a deserving winner after more than 30 years of truly connecting the business to their community.

The company’s latest initiative, the TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More), encourages staff, family and friends to be involved with and support charitable events.

Their community involvement has included 20 years as part of the Rotary Club of Cairns, five years sponsoring Cairns Business Women’s Association and 15 years of financial support to Muscular Dystrophy.

More recently, the TEAM has also organised and hosted The World’s Greatest Shave, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, Movember, Dry July, Red Nose Day and Daffodil Day.

“Mark Dodge Motoring couldn’t be more deserving of the MTA Queensland 2017 Community Award,” said MTA Queensland Group CEO Dr Brett Dale.

“Their work ... is inspiring.”
