Cairns businesses get government grants

-

TWO businesses in Cairns have received Queensland Government grants to grow and create jobs.

Outdoor Solutions Queensland has been awarded $9925 and Century Cranes, $9945, as part of 11 Queensland small businesses sharing more than $88,000 in grant funding under the latest round of the Accelerate Small Business Grants Program.

Employment and Small Business Minister Shannon Fentiman (above) said the small businesses were receiving assistance to hire experts to help their business grow.

“Small businesses are the engine room of our Queensland economy and investing in their growth leads to more local jobs,” she said.

“I am pleased to announce these grants will provide targeted assistance to support small businesses looking for advice to help them to grow.”

The latest grants bring the total number of businesses benefiting from the program to 64 with many businesses using funds to help them manage growth.
