OPPOSITION LEADER BILL SHORTEN LENDS A LISTENING EAR IN CAIRNS
CAIRNS workers, business leaders and curious constituents gathered at an ALP town hall meeting at Brothers Leagues Club yesterday.
Leader of the Opposition Bill Shorten (right) and spokesman for Employment and Workplace Relations Brendan O’Connor hosted the gathering to talk to workers, unions and employers and launch a website to expose unfair work practices.
“Too many people … are having trouble making ends meet,” Mr O’Connor said.
