NZ green economy boom
RE: “On NZ Clean Energy” (texts, 14/4).
New Zealand has had an Emissions Trading Scheme operating for at least 10 years.
This has been supported by both sides of politics. During this time their economy has been booming.
There are no indications that point to any future changes in this respect, other than the normal fluctuations.
As far as tree planting goes, even one billion trees wouldn’t solve our emission problems. Covering the continent with them might help. Alex Blair, Cairns
