Toowoomba North and Dalby stores al­most fin­ished

BUN­NINGS Toowoomba North is well on its way to com­ple­tion, cre­at­ing 170 jobs for res­i­dents. The store is set to open early next month once the $43 million project is com­plete.

MORE than 170 Toowoomba lo­cals are now of­fi­cial team mem­bers of the new $50 million Bun­nings Ware­house Toowoomba North.

The new out­let is sched­uled to open its doors on Novem­ber 10 and will be the sec­ond Bun­nings Ware­house in Toowoomba.

Bun­nings Ware­house Toowoomba North com­plex man­ager Dan Olzard has been a part of the Bun­nings team for five years.

He said he was ex­cited to wel­come res­i­dents to the store and lend a help­ing hand in the com­mu­nity.

“Team mem­bers have sup­ported a num­ber of com­mu­nity groups al­ready, in­clud­ing a spe­cial project with the Can­cer Coun­cil to re­ju­ve­nate the gar­dens and pub­lic spa­ces at Olive McMa­hon Lodge, which of­fers ac­com­mo­da­tion to fam­i­lies sup­port­ing their loved ones un­der­go­ing can­cer treat­ment,” he said.

“The team also in­stalled two buddy benches and a sen­sory gar­den for stu­dents at Toowoomba North State School to en­joy.”

“Bun­nings has been part of the Toowoomba re­gion for more than 16 years and we are ex­cited to con­tinue sup­port­ing lo­cal com­mu­nity groups through hands on projects in the fu­ture.”

Sev­eral of the new team mem­bers were also qual­i­fied trades­peo­ple with skills in plumb­ing, ma­chin­ery and hor­ti­cul­ture and would be on hand to pro­vide lo­cal res­i­dents with ex­pert ad­vice for their D.I.Y. projects.

Bun­nings Ware­house Toowoomba North will pro­vide on­go­ing sup­port to lo­cal com­mu­nity groups to raise funds for a va­ri­ety of causes by host­ing the fa­mous Bun­nings Sausage Siz­zles.

Lo­cal cus­tomers will en­joy the con­ve­nience of the widest range of home im­prove­ment and out­door liv­ing prod­ucts backed by the best ser­vice.

Bun­nings Ware­house Toowoomba North is at 239-267 Ruthven St, Toowoomba.

It has been a busy time for Bun­nings in the re­gion, with a new out­let also set to open in Dalby next Satur­day.

The open­ing will come with two full week­ends of ac­tiv­i­ties in­clud­ing jump­ing cas­tles, a bub­ble ma­chine, gi­ant Jenga, bal­loon twister, face paint­ing and snow cones.

Ac­tiv­i­ties will run from 9am-3pm both days next week­end and 9am-2pm the fol­low­ing week­end.

The open­ing event will also in­clude a meet and greet with the Teenage Mu­tant Ninja Tur­tles from 9am-1pm next Satur­day.
