Toowoomba North and Dalby stores almost finished
BUNNINGS Toowoomba North is well on its way to completion, creating 170 jobs for residents. The store is set to open early next month once the $43 million project is complete.
MORE than 170 Toowoomba locals are now official team members of the new $50 million Bunnings Warehouse Toowoomba North.
The new outlet is scheduled to open its doors on November 10 and will be the second Bunnings Warehouse in Toowoomba.
Bunnings Warehouse Toowoomba North complex manager Dan Olzard has been a part of the Bunnings team for five years.
He said he was excited to welcome residents to the store and lend a helping hand in the community.
“Team members have supported a number of community groups already, including a special project with the Cancer Council to rejuvenate the gardens and public spaces at Olive McMahon Lodge, which offers accommodation to families supporting their loved ones undergoing cancer treatment,” he said.
“The team also installed two buddy benches and a sensory garden for students at Toowoomba North State School to enjoy.”
“Bunnings has been part of the Toowoomba region for more than 16 years and we are excited to continue supporting local community groups through hands on projects in the future.”
Several of the new team members were also qualified tradespeople with skills in plumbing, machinery and horticulture and would be on hand to provide local residents with expert advice for their D.I.Y. projects.
Bunnings Warehouse Toowoomba North will provide ongoing support to local community groups to raise funds for a variety of causes by hosting the famous Bunnings Sausage Sizzles.
Local customers will enjoy the convenience of the widest range of home improvement and outdoor living products backed by the best service.
Bunnings Warehouse Toowoomba North is at 239-267 Ruthven St, Toowoomba.
It has been a busy time for Bunnings in the region, with a new outlet also set to open in Dalby next Saturday.
The opening will come with two full weekends of activities including jumping castles, a bubble machine, giant Jenga, balloon twister, face painting and snow cones.
Activities will run from 9am-3pm both days next weekend and 9am-2pm the following weekend.
The opening event will also include a meet and greet with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from 9am-1pm next Saturday.
