Investigators probe cause of industrial shed fire
AUTHORITIES spent the day investigating the cause of an industrial fire at a Torrington truck yard yesterday.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Acting Inspector Shane Rankine said multiple crews from Toowoomba and Highfields responded to the Allen Court property after a 000 call was received at 2.39am.
Crews arrived on scene at 2.51am and reported the fire was under control by 3.58am.
Acting Inspector Rankine said while the cause was yet to be determined, it was not being treated as suspicious.
“There’s no reported injuries and investigations are still under way into the cause,” he said.
Queensland Ambulance paramedics were put on standby at the scene as support for QFES crews, but were not required to treat or transport any patients.
