In­ves­ti­ga­tors probe cause of in­dus­trial shed fire

AU­THOR­I­TIES spent the day in­ves­ti­gat­ing the cause of an in­dus­trial fire at a Torrington truck yard yes­ter­day.

Queens­land Fire and Emer­gency Ser­vices Act­ing In­spec­tor Shane Rank­ine said mul­ti­ple crews from Toowoomba and High­fields re­sponded to the Allen Court prop­erty af­ter a 000 call was re­ceived at 2.39am.

Crews ar­rived on scene at 2.51am and re­ported the fire was un­der con­trol by 3.58am.

Act­ing In­spec­tor Rank­ine said while the cause was yet to be de­ter­mined, it was not be­ing treated as sus­pi­cious.

“There’s no re­ported in­juries and in­ves­ti­ga­tions are still un­der way into the cause,” he said.

Queens­land Am­bu­lance paramedics were put on standby at the scene as sup­port for QFES crews, but were not re­quired to treat or trans­port any pa­tients.
