ANZ Bank has flagged plans to relocate its Ruthven St CBD branch after an online real estate listing sparked speculation of its move.

The company confirmed that it will be relocating its flagship branch to the thriving Walton Stores dining precinct later this year.

It has been located at its current site on 367 Ruthven St for 30 years.

An advertising listing online detailed how the building is being leased for “immediate occupation” by the agents in charge of the property, Burgess Rawson and Colliers International.

ANZ confirmed that the branch, and its staff, would be moving further down Ruthven St and not closing down.

The agents who listed the site would not comment on the position of ANZ, but confirmed the owner of the building was looking for a new tenant
