St Mary of the Angels Secondary College Equestrian Team had a successful weekend recently at the Equestrian Centre in Gladysdale, competing in the PCAV State Championships.

Abbey Brennan, Chelsea Gray, Haylee Adams and Rochelle Bosco (former student) qualified for three events: Team of Four, Games and Musical Ride.

The girls placed first in the Musical Ride, with the theme being Michael Jackson’s Black and White, and fourth in the Team of Four at state level competition.

Other team members Jordan LeeMadgwick, Ben Lee-Madgwick, Kasey Brennan and Lacee Williams joined the girls on the Sunday and, with tight competition, placed third in three races and fifth in three races in the eightmember team competition. statistics are showing that drug trafficking has doubled in the past 12 months.

Therefore I cannot comprehend why Moira Shire councillors voted not to approve a drug and alcohol centre within the shire.

If there was a problem with the planning permit, why were the issues not addressed prior to the development being presented to councillors?

Employees of the Economic Development Department should have resolved all outstanding issue with the developer.
