Ap­ply now for fes­ti­val funds

Groups and or­gan­i­sa­tions from Ber­ri­gan Shire have un­til Fri­day to sub­mit their ap­pli­ca­tions for the Straw­berry Fields Fes­ti­vals 2017 Com­mu­nity Grants Scheme.

De­signed to sup­port lo­cal ini­tia­tives that en­hance com­mu­nity eco­nomic devel­op­ment and im­prove the qual­ity of ev­ery­day life in the South­ern Rive­rina, this year’s grant pool has in­creased sig­nif­i­cantly to $25 000.

The fund is man­aged by the Straw­berry Fields Fes­ti­val, which has been held an­nu­ally in Tocumwal since 2011.

Pre­vi­ous grant win­ners in­clude the Tocumwal Com­mu­nity Devel­op­ment Com­mit­tee, Bi­ralee Preschool, Ber­ri­gan Chil­dren’s Cen­tre and Ber­ri­gan Shire Com­mu­nity Spin Space.

El­i­gi­ble can­di­dates for grants must be based in the Ber­ri­gan Shire and can sub­mit their ap­pli­ca­tions at: www.straw­berry-fields.com.au/ grants

This year’s Straw­berry Fields Fes­ti­val is sched­uled to be held in Tocumwal from Novem­ber 17 to 19.
