School shows plenty of love in clothing drive

The Cobram Courier - - NEWS -

Cobram Anglican Grammar School’s clothing drive in support of Anglicare has been a huge success.

Throughout August the school community has been encouraged to donate preloved clothing that will be distributed to those in need by Anglicare.

The school’s student leaders set a goal of collecting 1000 items of clothing and, thanks to the generosity of the community, this goal was easily exceeded.

On Friday the students proudly displayed the many items that will be donated to Anglicare.

Anglicare Victoria’s Wangaratta community development worker Tanya Grant accepted the donation on behalf of Anglicare.

‘‘We are excited to be involved with this impressive youth initiative from the students of Cobram Anglican Grammar School,’’ Ms Grant said.

‘‘The clothing donation is extremely generous and will make a big difference with assisting so many disadvantaged members of the local community.’’

Lots of drive: Students from Cobram Anglican Grammar School with some of the donated clothing.
