Wetter weather to come

The Cobram Courier - - NEWS -

Cobram’s resident weather-man Ron Renfrew recorded a rainfall total of 67.5 mm for Cobram at his homebased weather station located on the north side of Cobram.

Mr Renfrew said the wetter weather in August was above average — and the late winter rains were no doubt much appreciated by farmers after a fairly dry June.

‘‘During the last nine years we had an August rainfall average of 55.2 mm,’’ he said.

‘‘And what can we look forward to?

‘‘I think we will get big rains in late October and November.’’

With that confident prediction, we can all keep a weather eye out to see if our local rain man is correct.
