Travel back in history

The Cobram Courier - - NEWS -

Cobram Cemetery Trust is planning to host a historical walk at the Cobram Public Cemetery in early November.

Cobram Cemetery Trust secretary/treasurer Rachel McKay said the theme for the event would be the ‘Italian Influence’ on Cobram and district.

‘‘The trust would like to include families with an Italian heritage,’’ Ms McKay said.

‘‘If you would like to include your family, please contact us as soon as possible.

‘‘We require a short story of your loved one’s life including info about birthdate, when they came to Australia, occupations, where they lived and about their families.’’

Photographs to be included in a booklet are required by September 30 and once published, the booklet will be available at Cobram’s Visitor Information Centre for anyone seeking family connections for family histories or just interested in locating relatives.
